Hand Bell Ringers
The parish is very fortunate to have a set of 30+ hand bells; they are mostly from J Shaw & Son of Bradford from the latter half of the 19th Century. These bells have been in the parish for a long time and in the mid 1990's they were refurbished and tuned to standard pitch which means they can be used with other musical instruments.
We currently have a team of eight ringers with our conductor Brian Smith who also joins in as a 9th ringer. We try to meet every other week on either Wednesday or Thursday evening at St Lawrence. Anyone who would like to have a try is welcome – contact Judith Kaye to find out when we are meeting next.
